Susan Wilkes: Missing from W. Columbia SC Found

UPDATE:  6/20/14 – Marion Wilkes, 73, told a judge that he is guilty of killing Susan and didn’t not want an attorney.  Marion and his son, Joseph Cody Wilkes, 23, are in custody and charged with murder in connection with the death of 59-year-old Susan Wilkes, reports WISTV.

West Columbia Police Chief Dennis Tyndall said Thursday morning Wilkes’ body was found on a two-acre plot of land on Gardenia Court in Little Mountain. They did interviews with Marion and Cody and they led the police to her body.  They also stated they kept Susan’s body in the garage for several days, before moving her body.

The authorities are continuing their search and asking for the public’s help in locating Susan Wilkes a West Columbia, SC woman that went missing on Thursday.

Susan, 59,  had gone for a walk in the Westover Acres subdivision around 8:30 a.m. and never returned.

Susan is 5’5″ tall, 150 pounds with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
