Martin John Rogers: Missing from Gaithersburg Found

UPDATE 9/5/14 – Maryland State Police troopers were called to the area of Smith Road in Allegany County, where passers-by located what appeared to be an abandoned car.  Police found a body near the vehicle they identified as belonging to Martin Rogers.


Previous story:  Martin John Rogers, 54, has been missing since Aug. 21 from his Gaithersburg, Maryland.

He left his home to go to a meeting for the National Institutes of Health where he specializes in tropical diseases, but he never showed up.  He was seen in a video checking into a hotel in La Valle.

In the video the police stated he looked “stressed out”.    Rogers phone is off and he has not used his credit card since the 21st.

Rogers may be driving his blue 2001 Audi A4 with Maryland tags 1BF6739 or it may be parked somewhere so please keep a look out for it and if you see if take a photo and let the police know.

Rogers is a white male, about 5’10″ tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has gray/white hair, blue eyes, wears glasses, and was last seen wearing brown khaki pants and a green and tan checkered, collared shirt.
