Zamien Benditt Parkes: Missing from Wyalusing Found

UPDATE 8/31/14 – A body matching the description Zamien was found in a tree about a quarter mile from his home.

Zamien Benditt Parkes, 17, is missing from Wyalusing, Pa.   The state police are saying he is a runaway and was last seen around 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 16 at his home on Tubach Pond Road.

One of Zamien’s friends said that he got a text from him, where he said he needed an ambulance.  He was asked why and he responded that he had to go.

Zamien attends Wyalusing Valley High School and Zamien, a star athlete is missed as students returned to school after the summer.

Volunteers have been searching for him and have covered the area around where he lived and spread out to woods near Wilmot Township. 

Zamien is believed to have an iPod Touch with him, and his last post on Facebook was with a friend the night he went missing when he asked for an ambulance.

One of Zamien’s friends said he has runaway before but always let his friends know where he was, but this time he has not contacted anyone. 

Zamien is 6 feet tall, 130 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and was wearing black shorts with a white stripe.  He may have a backpack with him.
