Kristy Kelley: Missing from Indiana Found

UPDATE:  Kristy Kelley’s body was found inside a car that was at the bottom of a lake near Boonville.  WFIE-TV reports that a dive team foud Kelley’s car and her body inside.  They identified her by her clothing.


Original story: Authorities are investigating if there is any connection between the case of missing Joelle Lockwood who has been found after being rescued from her captures this weekend and the disappearance of Kristy Kelley from Boonville, Ind. who went missing in August.

“What we know is that Kristy Kelley was at the VFW at 1:30 Friday morning.  We have video of what we think is her vehicle going past the TasteeFreeze out here at about 1:50 a.m., said Warrick County Sheriff Brett Kruse told volunteers reports RTV 6.

Kristy is the mother of two children and authorities says she has not been in contact with anyone since that day.


Joelle Lockwood that went missing from Evansville, Ind. since July, has been found.

Evansville police were told a man was able to get Joelle out of a home in Posey County where she was being held captive at and Saturday the Posey County Sheriff’s Office and Evasville Police Department served a warrant at the home and took into custody two people.

Joelle was last seen near Park and Florida streets on July 6 before she disappeared, the Evansville Courier and Press reported.
