Almaz Gebremedhin: Missing from Texas Found

UPDATE:  11/9/14 – Police believe they have found the body of Almaz Gebremedhin inside a car in the Muddy Creek Farms pond, located on the 2500 block of McMillen Road in Wylie. Sonar equipment was used to locate the vehicle in the pond.

Almaz Gebremedhin, 42, from Wylie, Texas was last seen going to work at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 2. A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured her silver Chevy minivan driving by. But she never made it to the nursing home less than three miles away. The 2004 silver Chevy Ventura minivan has a Texas license plate CVZ8041.

Sisay Zelelew, Almaz’s husband, a 10-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter, and Almaz’ mother live together in Wylie.

The  supervisor at Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care said that Almaznever missed work, so when she didn’t show up, people immediately became concerned, Houston said.

There is now a $10,000 reward for information on a missing woman from Wylie in Collin County.
