UPDATE:  10/30/14 – Jake has been located safe, except for a bump on his head.  He was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital Thursday morning.  He had a bump on his head and memory loss, his mother told The Arizona Republic.

Previous story:

Jake Hoekstra, 18, an Arizona State University student has been missing since last Wed.  He was seen leaving his dorm around 1 a.m. on Monday. 

Money was withdrawn from his account almost 24 hours after he was seen according to his mother, Mary Juetten.

Jake left without his car and his phone was left inside his dorm room.  Authorities are waiting for surveillance video from the bank to verify it was Jake that made the transaction.

Juetten said she wants her son to know that “we don’t care what’s happened or what’s wrong. Tell someone that you’re OK.”

is 6-feet-3-inches tall, about 200 pounds with short blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and red and black Nike shoes.
Anyone with information pertaining to Hoekstra’s whereabouts is asked to call ASU Police at 480-965-3456.
