Family members say the couple’s marriage is unstable and they have a history of domestic violence. Montebello police described the family’s disappearance as suspicious.  Investigators said the family may be traveling in a black, four-door Honda Accord with tinted windows and California license number 7FKV020.

UPDATE

Wednesday December 10, 2014, a witness called police after he noticed the Black four door Honda Accord with matching license plate altering them to 4th street and Harding avenue, less than a mile from the family’s home.
They have not confirmed who the body is though it was, discovered in the trunk of the vehicle

UPDATE 2

On December 11, 2014 before 9a.m. Officers of the El Cajon Sheriff’s Department spotted another vehicle that Investigators believed Daniel Perez was traveling with his sons in. This vehicle is a black 2014 Toyota Camry with a California license plate number of 7FDS891, which was, posted on Amber alert. El Cajon Police Officers spotted the vehicle on the 125 Freeway El Cajon. El Cajon Officers started pursuit and CHP joined in, Daniel Perez stopped in Santee on the eastbound portion of the 52 Freeway that leads to the on ramp of the southbound 67 Freeway, when a standoff endured. Swat team arrived and was able to take Daniel Perez into custody.

  • Two of the four boys were dropped off earlier in the pursuit and the, remain two boys exited vehicle, when Swat Team Apprehended Daniel Perez.
  • Detectives say that Low Jack was, used to locate the vehicle.
  • The body found in the trunk was identified by police to be Erica Perez.

Update 3

The body of a woman found inside the trunk of a car was identified as Erica Perez,
The cause of her death will be determined by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The four boys are safe Daniel Perez is in custody
