Nicholas Sexton: 8-year-old boy taken by father wanted for murder Found

UPDATE March 2015:
 Potter County deputy conducted a traffic stop on an eastbound silver 2006 Saturn Vue on West Interstate 40 near Bell Street and arrested Floyd Junior Sexton, 33, and Jennifer Gayle Jernigan, 40, after learning the pair had homicide warrants out of Kentucky in the Nov. 5, 2014, shooting death of Bill Russell Collins, 36, of Leburn, Ky.

The two children with them were fine and  turned over to Child Protective Services, which is working to return them to family members.

Original story:  Nicholas Sexton, 8, from Whitesburg, Kentucky, went missing shortly after his dad, Floyd Junior Sexton, was wanted for murder.

According to the Letcher County Sheriff’s Dept., Sexton, along with two other people are wanted for the murder of Bill Russell Collins, 36, of Lebrun, who was shot to death in a parking lot, after they tried to detain him in a vacant home.  
Dwayne Scott, a neighbor told WSAZ news that he heard two gunshots and saw a man lying on the ground.  He went to help him, but the man could not speak.  Another neighbor, Roy Compton told WSAZ news that he saw three women hanging around the area before the shooting, just before he left to go get gas.     
Jennifer Gayle Jernigan, is also wanted for complicity to murder charges, but she has not been seen since October.
Lillie Mae Adams, Nicholas’ grandmother said she saw her son, Floyd packing his bags and he left with Nicholas and she has not seen him since.  
Nicholas is 3’11” tall and 45 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
