Linda McLaughlin missing from Sunset Hills, Missouri FOUND

UPDATE 4/2716 – Linda’s remains have been found in a shallow grave in a remote part of Missouri.  John Kevin McLaughlin, 58, her husband was arrested. The prosecutor said “incredible technology and police work” led investigators to that location and also put her husband within 20 yards of the grave on the day after she disappeared reports St. Louis Today.

UPDATE:  6/5/15 – Linda’s car was found in south St. Louis at Tennessee Avenue and Iron Street, near Carondelet Park, the Post-Dispatch reported. The newspaper said she went to dinner with a  friends on Monday, dropped each of them off at their homes, and never returned home.  Linda and her husband after 35-years of marriage were scheduled for a divorce settlement on Thursday morning, but the conference has been rescheduled for August.

This story reminds me of the Debbie Heriford story.

Original Story: Linda McLaughlin, 57, from Sunset Hills, Mo. was last seen Monday evening.  She was reported missing to the Sunset Hills Police Department on Tuesday morning. Investigators say they believe her disappearance may be criminal in nature.

Renee said she knew Linda for about 11 and a half years. Renee is married to Linda’s oldest son. She said Linda used to watch her children, according to KSDK news.

“She was a great grandmother to my kids. She watched them every day. My kids loved going to her house. They still talk about Mimi to this day,” Renee said.

Renee said Linda was not there when she went to drop off her kids on Tuesday morning.

The following statement has been issued by John McLaughlin Jr., the son of Linda McLaughlin:

“The family would like to thank everyone that has shown their concern and support since the disappearance of our mother, Linda McLaughlin. She was last seen Monday evening. She is a loving mother and grandmother and would never leave without letting family or friends know of her plans.

We are all praying for her safe return. We would like to ask anyone that has any information of her whereabouts, or may have seen her car, a 2008 brown Buick Enclave with Missouri State license plate KA9-L4R to please contact the Saint Louis County Police Department at 314-889-2341.
Thank you,
John”
