Florida man goes missing after dispute at gas station

A gas station surveillance video shows that a missing man was in a fight before he went missing.

Steven MacKrell, 25, of Fort Lauderdale has not been seen since July 30, after he was seen leaving the Lucky’s Tavern on West Las Olas Blvd. around 2:45 a.m.  He was to meet his friends at Walgreens at Broward Blvd. but he never showed up.

Authorities tracking MacKrell’s credit card usages led them to the Valero gas station on N. Dixie Highway.  The video from the station shows MacKrell engaging in some sort of argument with several people in a silver sedan, Fort Lauderdale Police Det. Kevin Dupree told the Sun Sentinel.

About five minutes later the same silver car is seen pulling up behind MacKrell’s car where he was parked at the gas pump.  MacKrell drives away and the silver car races after him out of camera view.”At this point, this is out strongest lead, “MacKrell’s brother said.  “Whoever followed my brother out of that gas station, whoever chased him, has to know something.”

Police would like to talk with this man

Authorities managed to grab a photo from the video of a man that was a passenger in the car (See above).  Although police state they do not know if the man nor the others in the silver car had anything to do with MacKrell’s disappearance, they just want to talk to him.  The car may be a Chevy Malibu.

MacKrell is a professional poker dealer and works at the Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach.  He has not shown up for work.
