Pennsylvania man goes missing during bike rike on Labor Day FOUND

UPDATE 9/13/15 – Mayor Bob Boyer told the Times Leader shortly after 11:30 on Saturday night that Stark was reported to “be in good health,” and that the matter was still under investigation.  Over the weekend, Stark was found sitting on a park bench in Ohio.

Original story:   A man who went missing during a bike ride on Labor Day is still missing.

Charles “Chuck” Stark, 51,  left his house on Seventh Street in Wyoming that evening on his brand new rust colored 10-speed bike onto a trail a couple blocks from his home and never returned.

Charles’ wife, Michelle said that Charles will have a seizure if he gets dehydrated.

Charles’ bike but rust-colored

“My husband Chuck left on a bike ride last night at 8 pm and I haven’t seen him since. He did not take his phone, wallet or keys. I don’t know what route he was taking. He was riding a rust-colored brand new 10 speed type bike. He is around 6’1″, 215 lbs, dirty blond hair, hazel eyes. I believe he could have flipped his bike, or it could have broken since it was his first time riding. Or he could be dehydrated or disoriented.  relying on facebook. A search has been done near the Susquehanna River near the trail off Sixth Street.   A helicopter, hovercraft and rescue crews checked all along the river for him.

Stark worked as a sub-contracted stage manager for the FOOD network and now works at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical center.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call the police at 570-693-2650 or leave an anonymous tip here.
