Baby Vincent Moore missing from Kansas since July, 2015

The police are asking for help to locate a missing baby from Kansas.  Vincent who was born on March 3, 2015 went missing sometime in July.

On June 5, Michelle Mendez, Vincent’s mother dropped Vincent who was only 3 months old at the time and his 2-year-old sibling off with the dad for visitation.  After many attempts, Michelle was not able to find the dad nor the children to pick them up.  Vincent’s last known location was on July 11, when he was seen leaving a house near 31st Street South and Hydraulic with his dad, Gary Moore, 24.

On July 29, Moore who for a period of time had b been in Texas was stopped during a traffic stop in Wichita.  He had the 2-year-old with him, but not baby Vincent.

Moore said he gave Vincent to Michelle but she denies that.  She also took a polygraph and passed.

At this point in time, Vincent has been missing probably since July, but most definitely in August and this is the first time I have heard about it.

Mary Dean, founder of Kansas Justice Advocate says that a document received by the family on Oct. 8 at a child-in-need-of-case (CINC) proceeding was devastating to the family.  It reads in part, “due to Vincent’s unknown whereabouts, the length of his absence and the details regarding his disappearance…..there is a clear and convincing evidence that Vincent is deceased.”  Also, Dean states the letter is being used in the CINC proceeding to try and sever the parental rights of Vincent’s parents and put the 2-year-old in foster care, reports The Wichita Eagle.

Dean’s also expressed in a letter that Vincent’s family wants more details that was has been offered as to why they have determined he is dead.

Moore is currently in jail for violating his probation in a battery case against Michelle.

The Wichita Police searched a wooded area at 55th Street South and K-15 near Derby for Vincent on Aug. 3.

If you have any knowledge of Vincent’s whereabouts, please call the Wichita Police at  316-267-2111, 316-268-4182, or 911.
