UPDATE:  11/12/15 – On Thursday, the Arkansas State Crime Lab confirmed that a body found in Pine Bluff is Maranda.

Original story:  Maranda Goldman has been missing since Oct. 8, when she left her home to fill out a job application at a Goodwill store in Pine Bluff.  She left the store at 4:30 p.m. and her car was found in the parking lot, but Maranda was no where to be found.

On November 10, a body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of 38th and Ohio.  The remains are of a female and the medical examiner will trying to identify the remains as soon as possible.  There is no sign of foul play at the location of where the body was found.  The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

Goldman’s mother did say that  her daughter had been hanging out with a “bad group of people,” and may have thought her to be a snitch.

Sadly, where the body was found is the same road that was driven down by searchers who were looking for Maranda.

If you have any information about this case, please contact the Pine Bluff Police Dept. at 870-730-2090.
