Emily Leblanc, 13, missing from Abilene

Emily was found safe and gas returned home.

Emily Leblanc, 13,  went missing from Abilene, Texas on Jan. 2, 2016.   Emily’s mom checked on her before going to bed and found she was gone and had left a note behind.  Her mother posted it on social media.  It has also been posted that Emily may be with another 13-year-old named Jaydn. Heather, Emily’s mother posted on Facebook:  ” I am so grateful for everyone who is sharing the flyers and possible leads, and I am so amazed at how people pull together in situations like this. I have tried to message people back, and if I missed anyone I’m sorry and thank you all for pulling together to help bring my sweet baby girl home. Yes she’s acting out by running away, but bottom line she is still a big part of what makes me a whole person. She my whole world! Again thank you! Emily LeBlanc, baby I am so not mad at you just worried. Come home and you will see how loved you are! Dixie is lost without her sleeping buddy! Come home sweet girl! You are not a problem for me my problem is not having you home and safe! I know you think you are in loads of trouble, but I didn’t realize how down you are. We can figure this out together!”

Heather also believes that Emily may be with another 13-year-old named, Jaydn.

Below is the note that Emily left behind.  In part it says, “I’m sorry but I needed to get away.  I know that I havn’t (sic) been the best kid, and I’m sorry….You should be happy that I’m gone.  You’re going to have a Emily free life.”

Emily is 5’3” tall, with brown hair and eyes. She was wearing a yellow and gray hoodie.  Call the Abilene Police Department at (325)673-8331 or leave an anonymous tip here if you see her or you can also contact the private investigator Tony Kurnell at 972-441-4944..
