Tamela Simpson, 34, left her home in northern Gallia County after a fight. She is believed to have crossed State Route 7. Her family members thought they heard her go into the Ohio river which is near the home. A search yielded no results and she has been missing since.
“We’ve coordinated our efforts with the U.S. Coast Guard. They were notified the night that (Simpson) went missing,” Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning told My Daily Tribune. “This weekend, we have a search team coming in that’s going to assist us along the banks of the river there. We’re going to try and use specialized dogs trained to discover individuals in the water. We’re not giving up hope that she might be be somewhere else. At the same time, we’re also going to have to try to look at it as if it may be a potential recovery operation rather than a rescue. After so many hours, you have to go into that mode.”
Simpson is described as a white female, 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She weighs around 125 pounds. She has blonde hair with purple highlights. She reportedly has green or hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue cheetah print shirt with gray leggings and no shoes.
