UPDATE: 4/3/16 – Ashlynn has been located with a man who said that Tina asked him to take her fro a couple of days. According to authorities the man believed he was doing the right thing and kept the baby at a friend’s house. Sunday morning, the man was contacted by a friend and was told police were looking for the child. He then called the police and told them he had the child. Sheriff’s officials said in a press release the man had no previous relationship with Baxter and was released after being interviewed.
Original Story: Police are searching for a 2-month-old baby from California. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department went to the Days and Nights Inn on Bear Valley Road in Hesperia to talk with Tina Baxter and check on her baby on Saturday. Evidently, the baby had not been seen since earlier that day and a citizen became concerned and called the police.
When Baxter could not produce her daughter, Ashlynn Thomas, she was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment. Now the police is asking the public to keep an eye out for Ashlynn who was last seen wearing a pink and white one-piece pajama sleeper and a black jacket with multicolored stars on it. Ashlynn has a dark, hairy birthmark on her right forearm and on the bottom of her left foot.
