Santa Ana woman missing, never showed up for work

Claudia Lisseth Sanchez Reyes, 21, is missing and was last seen on May 7.

Claudia Lisbeth Sanchez Reyes, 21, has been missing from Santa Ana, Calif. since May 6, 2016. She was last seen with her husband at the Bush Terrace apartment complex which her estranged husband, Eddy Reyes and her were moving out of.

The apartment manager told the OC Register that the couple’s lease was up and they were moving.

Eddy says he last heard from Claudia around 10:45 p.m. on May 7 and she told him that she was clubbing with some friends. Eddy told the police they were going to get a divorce, but had recently reconciled, said Anthony Bertagna, a Santa Ana Police Department PIO. Claudia never showed up for her job at Garden Grove El Pollo Loco on Sunday. Eddy said that his attorney told him to not report his wife missing right away, so he waited till May 11. The police went to the apartment complex to talk with him and saw that it was emptied and unoccupied.

Authorities told OC Register they have responded to that apartment in the past for domestic disturbance calls nine times. Claudia had filed restraining orders in the past, and domestic violence complaints against Eddy. He was never charged.

The police have obtained a search warrant to enter the apartment and the case is ongoing.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Claudia please call the police at 714-245-8700.
