FBI announces $20,000 reward for teen who went missing in 1979

Angela Mae Meeker was 13-years-old when she went missing on July 7, 1979.  Just two days before her 14th birthday, she went shopping at the Tacoma Mall.  Later she was to go to a party for her and another friend, but she never came home and has not been heard from since.

“An acquaintance of hers was interviewed and he actually reported that he ran into Angie on her way to the mall and gave her a ride and said that he dropped her off in the area of the Payless store,” said Det. Wade.

Det. Wade also told the Tacoma Weekly, “We had another case that occurred about six months later, not too far from here, and it was another 13-year-old girl who went missing and was found murdered 12 days later; that case is also unsolved.”

Angela Meeker was last seen wearing a black floral print shirt, blue jeans, a red or blue satin jacket, sandals, and a black felt hat with red feathers on it. Angela has a dark mole on her left lower cheek, by her mouth.
