Christopher Kerze missing since 1990 from Minnesota

Christopher Matthew Kerze has been missing since April 20, 1990 from Eagen, Minn. and an age progression photo has been released in hopes that someone may recognize him and come forward.

On April 20, 1990, Christopher stayed home from school because he was sick.  His mother, Loni told TwinCities.com that she was going to stay home with him but he told her to go to work.

“I said, ‘Well, do you want me to stay home from work?’ he said, ‘No, I’ll be fine.’ And I gave him some Excedrin and left for work,” Loni said.

Christopher was gone when Loni got home from work around 3:30 p.m.  A note was left that stated he would be home by  6p.m., but he never returned.  The following days a letter came in the mail postmarked from Duluth.

“Basically, it was a farewell,” Jim, his dad said. “It was, ‘I love you.’ At this moment, we were in total distraught.”

They later learned that Christopher took out $200 from his savings account.  The   blue Dodge Caravan that Christopher drove was found abandoned on Minnesota 38 near the George Washington State Forest.  There was a note inside that stated who owned the van and the keys were left inside.  Also, a gun was found missing from the home.

If you have any information about this case please call the Eagan police at 651-675-5700 or leave a tip here.
