Young boy missing from Aurora, Colorado since New Years Eve found in a pond.
UPDATE 1/4/17 – The Arapahoe County Coroner confirmed Wednesday that David Puckett’s body was found in the pond.
The body of missing 6-year-old boy, David Puckett has likely been found in a pond, reports CBS News. The authorities stated they would be searching in a pond in Olympic Park for him on Tuesday. A K-9 led them to the area. There was also an indication that the water was thinner in one area. Diver’s went into the water this morning and after several diving attempts they found a child’s body in the water. Confirmation of the identity of the remains has not been made at this time.
Original story: David Puckett, 6, went missing around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 31, 2016. He was last seen in the 15700 block of East Amherst Place, near Olympic Park in Aurora, Colo.
An Amber Alert has been activated for missing David as of Monday, after another day has gone by and he is still missing. The police still believe he left on his own, and there is no foul play. David is a student at Dartmouth Elementary and the police are stating he has a history of wandering from home. They are theorizing he may have gone to a friend’s home and the parents are not aware that he is missing. The police are also asking neighbors to check their properties, sheds, garages and barns in case David might be there.
David’s disappearance has been a priority for law enforcement and the police and Arapahoe County sheriff deputies began searching for him on Saturday and continued on Sunday. Dogs and air search has been conducted. All registered sex offenders in the neighborhood have been spoken with.

“At this time it appears that David left voluntarily,” said Aurora Police Chief Nick Metz. “We have no evidence at this point to suggest that he’s been abducted.”
The missing boy from Aurora may be wearing camouflage pants with black and orange boots, a black shirt and tan coat. He is about four feet tall, weighing 48 pounds with light brown hair and blue-green eyes. He has a minor learning disability.
Robert Bee, 13, is still missing from Pekin. His disappearance has been unexplained and confounding as David’s disappearance.
