New Mexico Amber Alert for 2-year-old

UPDATE: 1/2/17 – Ethan has been located at his paternal grandmother’s home in New Mexico.  Authorities stated that Sergio “fled into Mexico.”

 

A New Mexico Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Ethan Jacquez.  Ethan was abducted from Powell Place Road in La Mesa New Mexico by his father.  Ethan is believed to be with Sergio Guadalupe, 23.  They may be traveling in a white 2001 Ford F-150 extended cab truck with New Mexico license plate number 134 PJW, reports KPRR news.

Doña Ana Sheriff’s office told KOB news that Sergio showed up at the home of Ethan’s grandparents on Monday afternoon wanting to take his son, but his grandfather refused.  Sergio struck the grandfather several times and forced his way into the house.  He poured gasoline inside the house then set it on fire.  Ethan’s grandmother who was sleeping in another room took Ethan out of the house.  Sergio pushed her to the ground and then took Ethan.  

Police have activated an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Ethan Jacquez.  Police stated that Sergio’s last known addresses were in Anthony and Las Cruces.  They believe he may be driving to Colorado or Mexico.  Also, The white 2001 Ford F-150 has damage on the passenger side.

Ethan is 3 feet tall and 50 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown hair. The boy was wearing a blue and green pajama top and red pajama bottoms.

Sergio Guadalupe Jacquez is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 209 pounds. He has brown eyes and dark brown hair.
