Michelle Delagarza missing from Missouri; last seen at gas station

UPDATE 3/15/17 –  Michelle was found dead in her car in Daviess County.  Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is investigating this case as an apparent suicide.


Antwanette “Michelle” Delagarza, 45, was last seen at a gas station east of Liberty in River Bend, Missouri on Feb. 21, 2017. Delagarza worked as a janitor at the Oak Park Mall Nordstrom store and on the morning of Feb. 21, she sent a text message to her mom telling her she didn’t feel well and was coming home.  Video surveillance shows Michelle at the Conoco station inside the store at 12:20 p.m.  She has not been seen since.

Michelle Delaganza“It’s been 10 days. It’s hard to imagine there’s going to be a happy ending,” Ron Delagarza, Michelle’s father told the media.

DeLaGarza has worked as a janitor at the Oak Park Mall Nordstrom store for two and a half years. On the morning of February 21st, she sent a text message home to her mother, Mary, saying she didn’t feel well, and she was coming home from work.

The family says Michelle’s credit cards have shown no activity, but her cell phone was pinged near the Cameron, Mo., arMichelle Delagarzaea. However, police say she’s still missing, and her phone and car can’t be accounted for. The car is a 2016 red Volkswagen Jetta, with Missouri license plate PP7-S8X.  Michelle has a large tattoo on her chest (see photo).

The public is asked to call Liberty Police at (816) 439-4701 if they see her or have any information.
