Amber Alert for missing girl from North Carolina

Arieyana Forney has been found and is now with the authorities.  We now know that the two people that were killed were Arieyana’s grandparents, Curtis and Ruby Atkinson.  We also know that the man that took Arieyana was her uncle, Curtis Atkinson, Jr., who led police on a car chase, reports the Charlotte Observer.  He was captured and Arieyana rescued after Curtis crashed the car they were riding in.  Curtis will be charged for the murder of his parents. Curtis’ brother, who is Arieyana’s father, Micah Atkinson was murdered in 2013.

Original Story: An Amber Alert has been issued for missing Arieyana Simone Forney, 11, who was found to be missing after her guardians were found deceased in their home, on the 7500 block of Glencannon Dr. in Charlotte.  They were found after an alar system went off in the home from smoke.  Firefighters found a small fire and the couple deceased.  WNCN reported the couple were shot.
