Body found belongs to missing Foothill Farms woman

An unidentified body found on Thursday night has been identified.  The body belongs to Janet Mejia, who went missing on Tuesday, reports CBS Local Sacramento.  The body was found near Watt Avenue and Dyer Lane.  She had died from a gunshot wound.

Janet Mejia was last seen on Tue. April 11, 2017 from.  She was last seen leaving her apartment at the 7200 block of Pepperwood Knoll Lane, in the Foothill Farms area in Sacramento, Calif. to go to a doctor’s appointment in Stockton.  Janet never made it.  She also never made it to work at the Nordstrom’s in Roseville.

“We want Janet to come home … we love you, we miss you,” Mejia’s sister, Daisy Mejia, told Sacramento’s CBS 13 News. “I’m praying to God that you’re OK.”

On Wednesday, police found Janet’s blue 2011, four-door Honda in the Arden-Arcade area.   Sacramento’s Fox 40 News, reports Janet’s credit card was found in the Nordstrom parking lot, per Janet’s sister.

The police are talking to a person of interest who is already incarcerated.
