Rancho Cucamonga baby abducted by father considered armed and dangerous

UPDATE 4/25/17 – According to the San Bernadino County Sheriff Dept. “Specialized Enforcement Detectives were searching the area of Holt Bl./Monte Vista Ave. in the City of Montclair, when they observed a grey Chevy Malibu with a driver matching the description of Daniel Segura. A traffic stop was conducted and Segura was taken into custody without incident. A handgun was located on Segura at the time of arrest.  Lexi Segura was found in the vehicle and is in good physical condition. She is being reunited with her mother at this time.”

Original Story: An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 1-year-old out of San Bernardino County.

Lexi Segura went missing on Monday evening from Rancho Cucamonga.  She is believed to have been taken by father, Daniel Segura, 38.  Authorities considered him armed and dangerous.   He was in possession of a gun when he took Lexi.

He stated he was going to kill his daughter and himself if he had to go back to jail, reports NBC Los Angeles.

The 2012 red Mitsubishi Galant that they were in has been found abandoned in Pomona.  With the car found, the authorities have cancelled the Amber Alert.

“The vehicle was certainly something that were able to put out to associate with…being able to find his location. So that does complicate matters a little for us,” San Bernardino County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.

Lexi is three feet tall and 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  She was wearing a blue shirt with gold writing and blue jeans and pink shoes.

Daniel Segura is 5’5″ tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  He was wearing a dark shirt, dark baseball cap and blue jeans.  He had many tattoos on his arms and neck.

Anyone with information on either Lexi or Daniel Segura’s whereabouts can call 911 or the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at (866) 346-7632.
