8-year-old Bennetsville girl missing after mother found deceased FOUND

UPDATE 5/17/17 – The body found was confirmed to be Iyana.

UPDATE 5/15/17 – The sheriff’s dept. has announced a body has been found in a remote area of South Carolina near McColl.  No identification has been made at this time.

Jejauncey Fernando Harrington, 32 has been charged with murder of Ella and kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of  Iyana. He’s also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

UPDATE 5/12/17 – All charges have been dropped for Dwayne Bright.  According the the authorities new information led them to drop the charges but have not stated what that new information was.  Iyana is still missing.


UPDATE 5/8/17 –  Dwayne Jermaine Bright, 36, of Bennettsville has been arrested for Ella Lowery’s murder. Bright is charged with murder and possession of a firearm. Iyana is still missing.

 


Iyana Lowery, 8, is missing from South Carolina.  Marlboro County Sheriff’s Dept. came to the home on Craig Circle in Bennetsville and found Ella Lowery deceased.  It was confirmed that Ella was the mother of the missing little girl.

Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown hasn’t released any details on how Ella Shantrica Lowery died, according to WPDE nor the circumstances that led them to the house to find Ella.

“Finding Iyana is of highest priority to all the agencies involved,” said Sheriff Lemon.” We need the community to stand beside us and remain vigilant in helping and sharing information. This is not a time as a community to remain silent if you have information. Your piece of information may be critical in saving the life of Iyana. ”

Iyana is 4’2″ tall and 100 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail and brown eyes.  Iyana’s sibling was found at a relatives home.
