Rhonda Apfel missing from Iowa, her Harley found in wildlife area

A body was found in the Wapsipinicon River and Black Hawk County Sheriff Tony Thompson said the location of the remains, tattoos and other circumstances are consistent with the disappearance of 47-year-old the WCF Courier reports. Although no announcement of a positive was found, a memorial for Rhonda can be found here.


Rhonda Habbena Apfel, 47, is missing from Evandale, Iowa.  She was last seen on May 27, 2017 in Dunkerton.  Her Harley Davidson was found on a gravel road with the key in the ignition and her boots, socks, and her jacket near Wapsi River in the Bruggeman Wildlife Area.  The motorcycle was found to be in good working order and started up, reports KCRG news.  Rhonda has flowers on her shoulders and arms of flowers, with a hummingbird on her right arm also tattoos on her leg.  If you have any information about her, please call the Black Hawk Sheriff;s Office at 319-2515.
