Texas man missing; family fears hate crime

Angelina County Sheriff's Dept.

Thomas “Tom” Clyde Pittman, 55, last seen in the 900 block of Lloyd Walker Road in Angelina County in Huntington, Texas, at a home he was moving out of.  Tom was moving into his mother’s home to take care of her along with his twin brother, Tim.

“He was on his way over to his mother’s house to drop off another load, but never made it,” the flyer stated. “Tom would never abandon his mother on her deathbed while she needed his care, nor would he leave his keys, cigarettes and cellphone in the vehicle.”

Wendy Bukowski told Lufkin Daily News she believes Pittman was possibly murdered, and that it might have been a hate crime because Pittman is gay.

“There was a couple who saw him last, and their stories keep changing, so we are suspecting possible foul play or homicide,” Bukowski told the news.

Tom’s mother has since died since his disappearance.

Tom is approximately 5’11” tall and 150 pounds. He has reddish-brown hair and was last seen clean-shaven.  Anyone with information to Pittman’s whereabouts should contact the sheriff’s office at 936-634-3331.
