North Carolina teen missing for over a year found

UPDATE:  6/28/17 – New information has come out on how Hailey was found.  According to WSB-TV, a Romanian woman, who has not been named, met Hailey online.  Hailey told her that she was missing and the Romanian woman asked her to take a photo of the neighborhood.  The Romanian woman then contacted Hailey’s parents and sent them the photo.  They gave it to the police and they were able to determine where Hailey was.

Hailey Burns who went missing from Charlotte,  North Carolina last year, when she was 16, has been found in the home of an older man.

Hailey, who is now 17, walked out of her home and never returned last June.  Hailey has Asperger’s Syndrome and left without her medication.  Her father stated at the time to WCNC that she tried to keep social media away from his daughter, but believed she found a way to communicate with someone over the internet.  Hailey’s diary was found and in it she wrote she had planned to run away with a man she had met online.

A little over a year later she was found by authorities in Duluth, Georgia at the home of Michael Wysolovski, 31.

Wysolovski has been taken into custody and is facing felony charges.  Wysolovski has been charged with Aggravated Sodomy, False Imprisonment, Interference with Custody, and Cruelty Children-Deprivation 1st degree (all of which are felonies), with no bond, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Docket Book.

A neighbor told WSB-TV that he had seen Hailey unloading groceries and that she waved back to say hello and that he had no clue she was being held captive.
