5-year-old boy lost at Wallace Marine Park FOUND

UPDATE 8/7/17 – Allen’s body was found near the Wheatland Ferry around 2 p.m. Monday, just upriver from the Polk County line. It’s about 13 miles from where he was last seen.

Original Story:  Allen “Chaz” Pearson, 5, has gone missing at the Wallace Marine Park on Friday, August 4, 2017.  He was last seen playing with other children near the pedestrian bridge over the Willamette River reports Oregon Live.    Although there has been a massive search for him, he is still missing on Monday morning.

“We’ve searched everything we could possibly search,” Dean Bender, Polk County emergency manager and a marine deputy, said Sunday. “I do not expect a good outcome.”

Chaz is four feet tall, weighs 50 pounds and has dark hair. He was wearing green and camouflage swimming shorts.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Police Department and Salem Fire Rescue and volunteers have participated in the search.
