Young mother and son last seen in Mesa FOUND

UPDATE 10/3/17 – Madeline’s parents were arrested at an airport and then several days later, Madeline and baby, William were located in San Diego. Madeline was arrested.

UPDATE 9/26/17 – Mesa police have submitted charges to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in reference to a missing child case.  They are stating that police believe Roland and Cassandra were aware that the father of the child had been granted joint custody of William and helped Madeline deny access to his son. The pair also gave false information to Mesa detectives, police said. Mesa police has submitted the case to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review. The charges include Conspiracy to Commit Custodial Interference and Custodial interference as to Madeline, and Conspiracy to Commit Interference as to Roland and Cassandra.


William Jones-Gouchenour, 8 months old has been missing from Mesa, Arizona since June 15, 2017.  William was last seen with his mother, Madeline Frieda Jones, 19, who is also missing.  They were last seen around 5:30 p.m. Thursday near McKellips Road and Stapley Dr. 

The Mesa Police Dept. stated that this case has custodial issues regarding the child.  Madeline is divorced from William’s father.

A police report has been filed with the Mesa Police Dept.  The Courts earlier this month ordered that the mother share custody with the father, Jacob Gouchenour.  Since Madeline has not showed up for court hearing, Jacob has been given full custody of William.

Jones was described as 5’6″ tall and 145 145 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, according to the Mesa Police Department.

William weighs about 17 pounds, has blond hair and blue eyes, according to the Mesa Police Department.
