Missing Person Maryland David Gipson Smith
March 23, 2018 – A body found by hikers in Green Ridge State Forest in Flintstone, Maryland, have been identified to belong to David Gipson Smith. The medical examiner has ruled the death as undetermined.
David Gipson Smith, 28, from Pilesgrove went missing in Woodbine, Maryland since August 6, 2017. He left his parents home in New Jersey and was dropped off to visit a friend in the 2000 block of Woodbine Rd. in Woodbine, Maryland. He car was found abandoned.
His mother, Julie told MpofA, “He drove from our home in NJ to visit friends in MD and disappeared. The woman who he originally went to visit and stay with for a few days was not going to be home, and gave David the name of a friend that he could stay with. Later the unknown woman drove David to and dropped him off at a piece of property her family owned, about 20 minutes away. His car was left at this unknown woman’s home.”
Authorities have conducted ground and air searches and also searched a nearby pond, but his whereabouts are still unknown.

David is 6’4″ tall, 230 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
