Phoenix 12-year-old goes missing while walking her dog FOUND

UPDATE 9/10/17 – Valerie Cockrill was located near 26th and Georgia avenues, by people that recognized her as missing, said the Phoenix Police Department. She was not injured.

Witnesses discovered the girl after seeing information about her disappearance on the news, police said.

Valerie Cockrill, 12, went missing from her home in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, September 8, 2017.  Valerie left her home on the 2300 block of West Bethany Home Road near 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home road around 7 p.m. to take her dog, Meeko for a walk.  She never returned.

The family told AZ Family that does not have a cell phone or money with her.

Valerie was wearing a dark gray, long sleeved shirt, black leggings, black shoes and glasses. Her dog is a light yellow lab mix.
