Michigan woman goes missing on way to pick up her children; car found abandoned FOUND

UPDATE 11/9/17 -Police say that body of Ana Carrillo was found in Johnson Park along the Grand River.  Carrillo’s ex-boyfriend Andrew Hudson has been charged in her murder.

UPDATE:  10/12/17 –  Andrew Hudson, 38, is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, in Wyoming District Court. He’s accused of killing 35-year-old Ana Marie Carrillo.

“An extensive investigation into Carrillo’s disappearance has resulted in evidence that will show that Hudson is responsible for Carrillo’s disappearance and, ultimately, her murder,” reads a statement by the Wyoming Department of Public Safety.

Ana Carillo, 35, has been missing from Wyoming, Michigan since Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017.  She was to pick up her children on Colby Street, but she never made it.  Her car, a 2013 red 4-door Chevrolet Impala was found in the parking lot of St. John Vianney Church on Clyde park Avenue SW.

Captain Koster tells FOX 17 no new evidence was found in what they’re now calling a criminal investigation, despite rumors on social media that Ana may have been found.

“That’s not accurate and unfortunately, social media is not a friend of our investigation at this point,” said Koster. “I would encourage people not to share or put stock in things that they hear on social media. At this point, it’s just hurtful to the family and can be harmful to a police investigation.”

Carrillo’s ex-boyfriend, Andrew Hudson, was arrested last week and charged with perjury and the police are calling him a suspect in her disappearance.  Andrew’s dad, Lyle was also charged with perjury.

Family and friends have not heard from her since. Ana is described as 35, 5’2″, 140, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white Aeropostle sweater, gray sweatpants and white shoes. Anyone with information on her or her whereabouts is urged to call Wyoming Police at 530-7300 or Silent Observer at 774-2345.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Ana Carrillo should call the Wyoming Department of Public Safety at 616-530-7300 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
