Senior Maurice Taitt walked away from son’s home; thinks he is in Trinidad

Maurice Taitt, 77, went missing from Georgia on August 6, 2017.  He went missing from Stone Mountain near Danforth Way by Wynbrooke Elementary while visiting his family.  The family has been searching the 300 block of Wynbrooke Parkway.

Maurice had early stage dementia and he went for a walk and never came back.

Maurice son told the news that his last “interaction” with his dad was when he was trying to convince him that he was not in Trinidad where Maurice lives, but was visiting his family for a family reunion.

His family has released a video about searching for him that everyone that is missing a missing loved one can identify with.

Taitt is described as a black male, 5-foot-11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, gray hair, and a low haircut. He was last seen wearing an orange and brown striped polo shirt.

Anyone with information about Taitt’s whereabout is asked to contact the DeKalb County Police Department at 770-724-7710.
