Police ask for help locating mother and child that may be endangered FOUND

UPDATE 12/6/17 – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told Channel 9 that Megan Stack and her daughter Ava were found in Franklin County, Missouri, near St. Louis after Stack apparently voluntarily stopped at an emergency medical services substation.

Original story: Megan Stack and Ava are missing from North Carolina.  The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in the search for Megan Stack, 33, and Ava, 8.  They are last seen leaving their home on Cloister Drive in Charlotte on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 around 1:30 p.m.   They may be driving a silver 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe with a paper tag.  Stack’s emotional state and recent behavior has caused serious concern for their safety.

Ava’s father Timothy Lybarger made a plea for help in finding his daughter. during a police news conference on Tuesday.

Stack was last seen wearing a maroon jacket, pants and black boots. She is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds.

Ava was last seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt with a heart design on it, purple jeans, gray shoes and a fuchsia zip-up jacket.
