Missing Person New York Louise Pietrewicz

April 20, 2018 – Authorities announced that Louise Pietrewicz was shot to death,

Remains positively identified as Louise Pietrewicz.

Louise Pietrewicz has been missing from Cutchogue , New York since 1966, and police believe they may have found her remains under a basement floor of a Long Island home.

There was no coverage of her story and a document done in 2017 by the Suffolk Times, states that her story has never been told by the media before.  In the video, the Suffolk Times talks to Louise’s daughter about her missing mother and what she remembered about her and the day that she went missing.

Above is the trailer, part one of the three-part series can be seen by clicking here.

The documentary tells the story about Louise and her involvement with William Boken, a police officer.   Pietrewicz’s family were unaware of a secret love affair she had with Boken, who was married.  Boken resigned a few days after Louise went missing.  He died in 1982.  Sometime between Boken’s death and the documentary, Boken’s former wife stated that a body was buried in the basement of their old house on Lower Road.  In 2013, the basement was searched and partially dug up, but nothing was found.

Then last week, the Suffolk County Police detective tried again and this time used ground-penetrating sonar.  Skeletal remains were found.  The remains were taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the identity and cause of death.

Positive identification has not been made at this time.
