The skeletal remains of Esmeralda Pargas-Nunez, 42, were found 2016 and were identified in February, 2018. Where she was found turns out to be close where two of the Missing Texas Forty went missing.
Esmeralda, a native of San Blas, Villa de cos, Zacatecas lived in Houston, Texas. Social media stated she worked at the Snow Flake Donut & Deli shop at I-45 at Gulf Bank Road. On August 3, 2016 she was going to meet a female “acquaintance” at a park at the Veterans Memorial. She was making a down payment on a house. This is all the info that is out there. When it was realized Esmeralda was missing the police spoke with the woman and she told police that Esmeralda never showed up. Her SUV was found abandoned between Greenspoint and Spring said The Charley’s Project.
Over three weeks later, on August 29, 2016, owners of an empty lot discovered badly decomposed human skeletal remains while clearing brush. The lot is part of the Grand San Jacinto Subdivision off of FM 1010 in Plum Grove, which is located near Cleveland and Plum Grove Road.
Grand San Jacinto Subdivision is a proposed 3,537-lot neighborhood community. This subdivision is located near Cleveland, Texas in the County of Liberty. Grand San Jacinto is a short drive to FM 2090 or FM 1485 towards US 59/69. In the plans was a new access to SH99 for Houston commuters.
To some of you familiar with the Missing Texas Forty, Plum Grove Road is a familiar street. That is where I went to walk the same path that two of the Missing Texas Forty walked, Rodney Stokley and Larry Baker. Rodney Stokley was walking down Plum Gove Rd. when he went missing 10 years ago. Larry Baker, two years later would go missing just down the block from that same road, and Dennis Rogers went missing from Plum Grove Road.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at 936-336-4500, the Houston Police Department Missing Person Division at 832-394-1840 or the Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867.
The video below is about a body found in Cleveland off of Plum Grove Road in 2013. If anyone knows who this was, please let me know.
