13-year-old Iowa boy disappears during snow storm FOUND

January 28, 2019 – Authorities announced that the body of Corey Brown was found on the west side of the city. Police did not specify the location. It’s not known how long he might have been at the location where he was found. They do not suspect foul play, and believe he may have succumbed to the cold weather as the water was below zero.

Original Story – Corey Brown, of Marshalltown, Iowa has been missing since Jan. 22, 2019. Surveillance video shows him walking southbound from Jackie Terrace around 11:30 p.m.

His parents reported him missing Wednesday morning when they realized he was gone. They had had a fight the night before and they believe that is why he left.

“Corey, if you’re out there, Bud, you’re not in trouble. Just come home. And if anybody has any information, you’re not going to get in trouble either. Just call the Marshalltown Police Department. I love you, Bud,” his father Craig Brown said at a press conference.

Corey Brown was wearing a red shirt, black pants, gray tennis shoes with a lime-green Nike logo, a black and lime-green coat and a Seattle Seahawks stocking cap. He does not have his phone with him.

The Marshalltown Police Dept. is asking the public to keep an eye out for him and to check their outbuildings and garages for him.

Anyone with information about Corey Brown is asked to contact the Marshalltown Police Department at 641-754-5725.
