Mysterious Texas girl seen on camera running, asking for help in Indian Trails FOUND

UPDATE April 13, 2019 – The mystery of the Texas girl has been solved. The girl that was seen on surveillance and thought to be between 12 and 14 years old turns out to be a 36-year-old woman. The woman called the sheriff’s office on Friday to tell them she was the one that left a recorded message at the front gate. The police went to her home to meet with her and they concluded that it was the same person. The authorities stated that the woman (who will remain unidentified because of the ongoing investigation) stated she was a victim of domestic violence. She said she called a friend who picked her up from the area.

Original Story: The Wise County Sheriff’s Office in Decatur, Texas has released a presser (see below) asking for help from the public to help identify a mysterious girl seen in the Indian Trails subdivision on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

The female, estimated to be between 12 and 14 years old was seen on surveillance camera between Decatur and Bridgeport about a half a mile from Highway-380, at the door of a resident, states the sheriff’s office. She left a message on a security system voice mail asking for help. She is seen looking around, then seemingly saw something and she ran towards the woods.

So far, she has not been located after an extensive search in the area. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office states they have checked and there is no one missing from school in the area during that time, and no one in the neighborhood recognizes the female.

She is a white female with shoulder-length black hair, about 5’3” and weighs about 80 pounds. She wore black leggings, tennis shoes, and an athletic top and was seen carrying a backpack and a large purse or bag.

The photo is very fuzzy and it is hard to see, but if you have any idea who she may be, please call the Wise County Sheriff’s Office at 940-627-5971.
