UPDATE 9/26/19 – The Lake County coroner has not made a positive identification yet, but the family of Takaylah Tribitt, 14, believe the body may be hers, according to WGN9 news.
According to a Chicago police missing person report, the 14-year-old was last seen on Sept. 10 at around 10 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Noble Street.
The authorities have released a description of a teen who was found dead in an alley in Gary, Indiana on Monday, September 16, 2019, reports NWI.com. She was found by a utility crew working in an alley near 20th Place and Pennsylvania Street, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
The teen is believed to be between the ages of 14 and 18. She was found tied to a utility pole and she had been beaten.
The Lake County coroner’s office released a description of the teen Tuesday, who is 5’2, 117 pounds and African-American, with black hair.
She was wearing a size 32B bra, a blue and white Nike windbreaker, striped Champion pants and a pink T-shirt with a Superman emblem and the words “Supergirl Power” on the front, size 14-16. She also wore blue and black Nike Air Max Plus tennis shoes.
