Maryland school teacher missing from Rockville FOUND

Celmer was found by Montgomery County police early Sunday morning.She had been staying with extended family and had never been in any danger, Montgomery County Police Capt. Tom Jordan told WTOP.

Original story: Deborah Anne Celmer, 41, of Rockville, Maryland has been missing since Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019. She was last seen by family members around 11 p.m. on Saturday. Deborah did not show up for work as a teacher at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School on Monday and the family reported her missing.

Deborah’s dad, Al, posted, “My Daughter Deborah is missing. Please pray for her safety.”

Celmer is a highly respected teacher and the BethesdaMagazine.com reported, that Maissa Kobele Keita, a B-CC senior, wrote that Celmer was active in school-sponsored clubs designed to empower minority and female students, and stated Celmer was an “ally for the minority community.”

The Montgomery County Department of Police stated in a press release, “Celmer may be operating a blue 2003 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags: 9CN5716.”

Deborah Anne Celmer is 5’3″ and 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She may be driving a blue 2003 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags 9CN5716.

Anyone who knows where she is can call police at the nonemergency number at 301-279-8000, which is available 24 hours.
