The parents of the young student who mysteriously vanished on her way home from a night out have given a tearful interview on US TV. Lauren Spierer, 19, was last seen when she was walking home from a night out with friends on June 3, 2011. Her parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, from Bloomington, Indiana are appealing for help in the mystery. Lauren Spierer is a pocket-sized student who weighs less than 100 pounds and is only 4-foot-11 tall. She went missing just a few miles from her home: “She was so close to being home,” cried her mother on US news programme The Today Show. “It’s like having your heart ripped out,” she said.
