After an extensive search by volunteers and police, a shallow grave has been found that may contain the body of a missing West Wendover, Nevada teen on Saturday.
Micaela “Micky” Costanzo, 16, was last seen on a surveillance video when she left school about 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. She was heading home, where she lives with her mother a few blocks away.
“She has an outgoing personality. She was always doing for others and she always wanted to do her best at everything she did,” said Carol Roach her Junior Advisor at West Wendover High School.
On Saturday a volunteer searcher out on his own came across a freshly dug shallow grave about 5 miles west of town, which contained human remains. The search has been called off and the Elko County Sheriff’s Office will begin to sift through the dirt on Monday morning.
