Angel’s body was found by a fishermen in a wooded area near a railroad trestle, not far from Eighteen Mile Creek.
The search for 18-year-old Angel Marie Leverenz, who last spoke to family members on Monday, March 21, and told them she was going out with friends, is back on and police are doing all they can to find her. They have gone national with the search by enlisting help from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
On March 24, investigators located Leverenz’s car parked along South Creek Road in Evans, New York. Evans Police Captain Charles Danzi said the keys and Leverenz’s driver’s license were still inside. Leverenz’s purse was found along the banks of Eighteen-Mile Creek by a search party.
Police said Wednesday that they’ve enlisted the help of National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which is now distributing missing person flyers across the country.
