Update:  “Dr. Michael von Gortler and his daughter, Makana, both died from blunt-force trauma injuries to the head and neck,” the Coroner said. “There was no indication of injuries from lightning.”

Relatives told 7NEWS they believe the two were likely blown off a cliff.

Dr. Michael von Gortler and his daughter, Makana von Gortler who have been missing in the Missouri Mountains, after a hiking trip have been found dead on Saturday.

A relative told ABC News that the bodies of the father and his daughter were found by authorities. No information on the cause of death or detail have been released yet.
