Original story: According to Josh McCready, Mindy McCready’s brother, “Mindy is fine and so is Zander. There is nothing to worry about,” he told the Associated Press in a private Facebook message.
But, is there? But, according to Aimee McLaughlin of the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, a case manager filed a missing person report with the Cape Coral Police on Tuesday.
Lt. Tony Sizemore of the Cape Coral Police Dept. stated that McCready was suppose to be in Lee County, Florida as stipulated in the terms of the custody agreement.
McCready picked up Zander from her mother, who has custody, and went to her the boy’s father’s home, where visitation was to take place.
Dept of Childen and Families found that McCready and Zane were not there. DCF asked a Lee County judge for emergency pickup and the judge ruled McCready must return Zane by 5:00 p.m. Thursday or she would be arrested.
And what does Mindy say?
“I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out,” McCready told Access Hollywood in an e-mail on Wednesday. “I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert.”
