|Police sketch of unknown man|
According to Carlsbad Police “A Good Samaritan noticed Christine walking down a street in Temecula (an area north of San Diego) and recognized her from the circulated missing person’s information. The Samaritan immediately notified the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.”
Christine was walking with some friends and going to get breakfast when she was spotted. Christine was found to be in good health. The male subject that she was seen with just before she disappeared has been found to be be connected with her disappearance.
Christine Jelinek, 17, is missing from Carlsbad, California, the northern coastal community of San Diego County
She was seen on January 3, at the Boxing Club at 1691 Melrose Dr. in Vista, which is next to Carlsbad, where she had gone for a routine workout.
Christine left to go to a nearby Subway where she used their wifi connection to make contact with an unknown man that she may be currently with.
The unknown man, who is described as 45-50 years old, 5’11” tall and 160 pounds, met up with Christine at the Subway and they both left and went to Mariah’s restaurant. After about 45 minutes the man took Christine home, which her parent’s did not know about at the time.
Then on January 4, Christine left her home early in the morning and has not been seen since.
Christine is 5’9″ tall, 150 pounds, dark-brown shoulder length wavy hair and brown eyes. Christine took two pairs of jeans and a black-hooded sweatshirt. She also took artists books and a Nintendo DS.
