
Update: Samuel Whiting has been found safe. Bank employees at the First Piedmont Federal Savings and Loan on Limestone Street in Gaffney spotted Samuel, who is one of their regular customers in the parking lot and called the police.
Samuel Whiting, 64, was last seen dropping his son, John off at work in Spartanburg County at 4:30 a.m., Sunday. Samuel never returned from that trip.
Authorities have searched the Duncan area on Tuesday and also used a helicopter to help them in their search but were not able to locate Samuel.
Sam might be driving a black 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier with S.C. license plate DTQ538.
He is 6’1″ tall, 185 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of “Buck” on his upper right arm and was wearing a flannel jacket and blue pants.
