Tara Gean Hawkins: Missing from Florida Found

UPDATE: June 16, 2012 – Jacksonville police said Hawkins, 33, was found by a dog walker Sunday , June 10 near the woods of the low-budget Emerson Inn off Philips Highway. It took several days to identify the badly decomposed body.

Tara Gean Hawkins, 33, is missing from Jacksonville, Florida.  She was last seen at her job at Emperors at 4923 University Blvd. on Friday.

She never made it home.

There is some thought that Tara may be suffering from a brain injury because she had previously had an accident on her bicycle.   She may also be riding her bicycle.


Tara’s dog was found all alone in her room at an extended stay motel on Baymeadows Road. The manager says he is caring for the dog while police search for Hawkins.

Tara is 5’1″ tall, 100 pound with brown eyes and brown hair.
